ReDiscovery 2006 (ReDiscovery Stereo RD 103)

This CD is remastered from a recording made during YL's tour in North America in 1953. The recording was done by Remington Records in Cincinnati. YL's conductor during that time was Martti Turunen. The recording was originally released as LP in 1953 (Remington, Long Play R–199–191).

The composers are leading Finnish and Japanese contemporary composers: Uljas Pulkkis, Mikko Heiniö, Riikka Talvitie, Seppo Pohjola, Lars Karlsson, Hannu Pohjannoro, Joji Yuasa and Jaakko Mäntyjärvi. Included is also Erik Bergman's contemporary classic, the Swan Image for a soloist, quartet and male voice choir. This album was elected The Choral Record of the Year 2005 in Finland .
