The CD features works commissioned by YL for the choir's 120th anniversary in 2003. The composers are leading Finnish and Japanese contemporary composers: Uljas Pulkkis, Mikko Heiniö, Riikka Talvitie, Seppo Pohjola, Lars Karlsson, Hannu Pohjannoro, Joji Yuasa and Jaakko Mäntyjärvi. Included is also Erik Bergman's contemporary classic, the Swan Image for a soloist, quartet and male voice choir. This album was elected The Choral Record of the Year 2005 in Finland .
